I am not really a pedagogue – but I am involved in education. I am currently a tutor for the Indian Education For All program in the Helena School District. I’m a big fan of Pogie’s, and I also contribute to his Intelligent Discontent blog. I got into education because I was sick of being a janitor, and nothing else had opened up – plus I had experience tutoring and I wanted to do something positive. I don’t really have a teaching philosophy; I’m only just finished being a student, so I know how I liked being taught. We’ll see how that translates into teaching some of the most challenging students in Helena!
About the silly name - that was from my student days, when being anonymous was a thrill, not that I was ever very good at it. Since I’m not any kind of tenured, I’ll probably keep to being semi-anonymous, although just from what I’ve told y’all you could pretty easily find out who I am. Hope you enjoy my posts, and find them half as insightful as what Pogie has to offer!
